Effective mentoring requires understanding each person as an individual and adapting your approach to their needs, learning style, and career goals.

My mentoring framework starts with understanding. I learn what the person wants to achieve in their career, what skills they want to develop, and how they prefer to learn. Some people learn best by reading documentation. Others need hands-on practice. Some prefer structured guidance while others want to explore independently with occasional check-ins.

I create growth opportunities through stretch assignments. I assign projects that are challenging but achievable with support. The goal is to push people slightly beyond their comfort zone without setting them up for failure. I provide scaffolding at first and gradually reduce it as confidence builds.
